Puerto Tagua Bracelet

Sale price$33

Harvested along the coastal region of Manabí, Ecuador, tagua is a natural seed known as vegetable ivory for its density and smooth, polished finish. Used since the 19th century, each seed is collected once fallen and slowly dried over weeks or months before being carved by hand.

This piece, Puerto, takes its name from the coastal ports that have long connected Manabí to the wider world. Composed of bold, angular tagua forms, each element is individually cut and polished, creating a structured, sculptural bracelet defined by contrast and geometry.

No two pieces are identical, as each retains the natural variations of the material, enhanced through color and form.

Today, tagua is valued as a sustainable material, offering a natural alternative to animal ivory and synthetics, while preserving the craft traditions of the region.
